Jill Scott, Janelle Monae, and Sugarland were part of the Nobel Peace Prize Concert held in Oslo, Norway on Sunday night. The live concert was beamed around the world to share in a joyous occasion of singing to honor the Nobel Peace Prize award winners of the year. In what has become a tradition that millions watch around the globe, the stage shares a platform of peace, with a musical twist.
Hosted by Helen Mirren and Rosie Dawson, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert not only had music, but also encouraged those individuals who were performing to share personal views on the inspiration of the winners. From Janelle Monae to Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland, everyone shared the inspiration they felt from the winners of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize.
