Jazz In The Gardens Headliner Jill Scott Is Confirmed to Perform at NAACP Image Awards

 

Leading NAACP Image Award nominee Jill Scott is set to perform during this year’s celebration of accomplishments made by people of color in fields of television, music, literature, and film.

As previously reported, Scott is nominated for four awards including Outstanding Song, Female Artist and Music Video. She also shares the Outstanding Album (“The Light of the Sun”) category with fellow leading nominee Beyonce (“4”).

Scott released the celebrated album, “The Light of the Sun,” last summer. Debuting at no.1 on the Billboard 200, the album spawned singles like “So In Love” “So Gone (What My Mind Says)” and the moving “Hear My Call”.

The 43rd NAACP Image Awards air Friday, February 17 on NBC.
